OVERVIEW

Sydney Road Dental Care is Manly's top rated Dental Clinic. The website need to capture the lifestyle and demographic have a more high-end visual to match the business' price points .

The website went from a standardised wordpress template to a full website with a collection of modules developed for easier development of new pages and  content in the future. Iconography was also introduced to visually engage and direct the audience and better represent the services supplied where images could not suffice.

PROBLEM STATEMENT

SRDC had only just implemented their previous site at the start of 2020 however their previous site was hacked and could not be fixed. The security breach was due to poor build of a wordpress website using a corrupted and dated theme. Therefore the need to replace the site so soon after its launch is a considerable inconvenience and major cost to the company having just outlaid their marketing budget on the previous site.

APPROACH

Create a balance between creating a high end website that reflected the high end experience the client receives at the clinic and keeping it still warm and approachable due to the risk of coming off too sterile.

ICONOGRAPHY

Due to the services provided it was often difficult to find the right imagery to reflect the services provided. Also the photos for certain services can run the risk of appearing very confronting and off-putting. In order to address this issue I created an icon suite for all of their services they offered. This also helps keep the website clean and consistent and the iconography can be applied to a variety of additional areas.
